Build confidence with one skill at a time.
Does your child want friendships but find social interactions confusing or overwhelming? Do they feel anxious in group settings or struggle to read social cues?
Friends Like Us is a safe, judgment-free space where neurodivergent youth ages 12-14 can practice social skills, build confidence, and connect with peers who understand their experience.
This group is perfect for teens who:
Want friendships but find social cues confusing
Feel anxious or awkward in group settings
Struggle when plans change or things feel unpredictable
Have difficulty reading emotions or taking others' perspectives
Need a supportive place to practice being themselves
What We'll Cover:
Over 7 weeks, participants will learn how to read social cues and body language, manage anxiety in social situations, start and maintain conversations, handle conflicts and misunderstandings, practice flexible thinking, and build genuine, lasting friendships.
Using evidence-based DBT and CBT skills through interactive games, role-plays, and real-world practice, teens develop practical tools they can use every day.
